Christmas ride a triumph

Thanks to the 20 brave riders who managed to drag themselves through the gloom, on the shortest day, for a successful family ride.

Tandems, tag alongs, intrepid 5 year olds on solos and a baby on a seat - ages 9 m0nths to 60+
Mince pies and chocolate proved to be the best kind of fuel for all ages.

Rudolph came too ... January ride details coming soon.

Christmas Ride - 21st December

Meet: 10 am at Old Hassop Station on Sunday 21st December for a gentle traffic-free few hours cycling instead of shopping.

Decorate your bike with tinsel, wear antlers, bring mince pies and of course many layers of wind and water proof clothing.

Follow this link to find a nice leaflet for the Monsal Trail that we will use. There is a big car park at the start and a cafe and bookshop too.

Regular followers of this blog (hello Dad!) will note that we did have an online vote to decide where we ride for the Christmas ride and that we have used a Mugabe-like results system in deciding on the Monsal Trail ... ride leader's perogative ... and anyone can be a leader!

Here's hoping for a not too seasonal ride.
